One of the things I love about being a @vicksburgc

One of the things I love about being a @vicksburgchamber of Commerce Ambassador is getting to connect with the people behind our local businesses.

Today, I had the pleasure of delivering a Chamber plaque, and it reminded me why this role means so much to me.

Behind every business is someone who took a chance on themselves, worked hard, and built something they believed in.

And I love getting to be a small part of recognizing that.

But it also got me thinking...

Why is it so easy for us to celebrate someone else's accomplishments, yet so hard to acknowledge our own?

We tend to brush off our successes as "just doing what we're supposed to do."

But building something you're proud of deserves recognition.

Being proud of what you've accomplished isn't bragging. It's honoring the work it took to get there.

And sometimes, we need to give ourselves the same recognition we're so willing to give others. ❤️

I'd love to hear—what's something you've accomplished, big or small, that you're proud of? Let's celebrate it together! ❤️

SEEN | A Portrait Experience for Women 40+
When was the last time you had a portrait of yourself that you truly loved?
Not twenty years ago.
Not after you lose ten pounds.
Not someday when you finally feel ready.
Now.
SEEN is a fully guided portrait experience created to celebrate women 40+ exactly as they are today.
You don't need to know how to pose. You don't need to be “photogenic.” That's my job.
I'm inviting 40 women 40+ to become part of SEEN.

Maybe it's your turn to be seen.

Senior pictures don't have to feel awkward.

And they definitely don't have to look like everyone else's.

This is **your** senior year.

Your style.

Your personality.

Your interests.

Your story.

You don't have to walk into your session knowing how to pose or what to do in front of the camera.

I'll guide you through all of it.

We'll create the polished portraits Mom will want framed in the house...

and the ones that make you immediately say,

**“Okayyy... THAT'S going on Instagram.”**

You only get one senior year.

Let's make your portraits feel like you.

There is such a beautiful little space between waiting for your baby and finally holding them in your arms.
You wonder who they'll look like.
What their little voice will sound like.
Whether they'll have your eyes or Daddy's smile.
You imagine the first time you'll hold them against your chest.
And all the while, your body is quietly doing something extraordinary.
This chapter feels long while you're living it.
And then, suddenly, it's over.
The baby is here.
The nursery is being used.
The tiny clothes are being worn.
And the woman who carried them exists only in your memories.
That's why maternity portraits matter.
Not simply to remember what your body looked like.
But to remember the woman you were while you waited to meet one of the greatest loves of your life.
Let's create something beautiful enough to remember her.

I've heard it more times than I can count.

“Racheal, I'd love to do this, but I need to lose a little weight first.”

Or…

“I'm just not photogenic.”

“I wouldn't know how to pose.”

“I have no idea what I'd wear.”

And I understand.

But here's what I want you to know:

**None of those things are prerequisites for being beautifully photographed.**

You don't need to know your angles.

You don't need to know what to do with your hands.

And you certainly don't need to arrive knowing how to pose.

That's my job.

SEEN was created so that you can walk into my studio and be taken care of.

We'll plan your experience together. I'll guide you throughout your portrait session, right down to the smallest details.

You simply have to give yourself permission to show up.

Because SEEN isn't about transforming you into somebody else.

**It's about showing you the woman who's already there.**

**I'M READY TO BE SEEN**

When was the last time you felt truly seen? There

When was the last time you felt truly seen?
There are probably hundreds—maybe thousands—of photographs on your phone.
Your children. Your grandchildren. Your husband. Vacations. Birthdays. Holidays.
The people and moments you love.
But how many beautiful photographs are there of you?
Not a quick selfie.
Not a photograph you reluctantly stepped into.
Not one where you immediately looked at yourself and began finding everything you wished were different.
A portrait where you looked at yourself and thought…
There I am.
That question inspired something very special I've been working on.
SEEN
A Portrait Experience for Women 40+
I'm inviting 40 women over the age of 40 into my studio to be photographed and celebrated exactly as they are today.
Not twenty years ago.
Not ten pounds from now.
Not someday when everything feels perfect.
Now.
Because I believe this chapter deserves to be documented, too.
And perhaps it's time for you to step out from behind the camera and allow yourself to be the one who is beautifully photographed.
