I am so thankful and overwhelmed at winning Vicksburg’s Best of the Best Photographer for 2021! First, I would like to thank God for blessing me with this talent. Without Him, I am nothing. I would like to thank my family for supporting me on this journey, without your understanding and encouragement, I would not be where I am today. Last but not least, I want to thank all my wonderful clients who have supported me the last 21 years. I truly could not do what I do without all of you.
Portrait Masters Awards
I am so blessed to breakthrough to Bronze with Distinction level on The Portrait Masters competition. I am working my way to earn accreditation in my craft. I could do none of this without my wonderful clients who choose me as their photographer. I scored only 3 points away from Silver level. I am so blessed to be able to do what I love!

Shannon
I first met Shannon when I had my Grand Opening for my studio. She was asking me about headshots and such as she needed one for her new book. I had a couple of giveaways, and one was for a headshot session. Well, Shannon didn’t get drawn for that one, but the person who did win asked me to give it to Shannon as she needed it. We scheduled the session, and wow! This woman is as beautiful in the inside as she is on the outside. During her session, her daughter got dropped off at the studio, so we did a little impromptu Mother/Daugher session too! Shannon has written two books , one is Climbing Jacob’s Ladder and the other is The I Will Woman. Here is a link to her website if you are interested in learning more. Shannon’s Page
Here are some favorites from the session.
Stacey & Koury
Stacey and Koury won my Mother/Daughter look alike contest that was run recently in conjunction with The Vicksburg Post. It took a little while to get them in due to crazy schedules, but we finally made it work. Stacey and Koury, I had such a great time with the two of you and just love how close you are. Here are some of our favorites!
Terri’s 40/40
Terri contacted me after she had seen a friend’s portrait session to book her own. She has Alopecia and has decided to fully embrace who she is, and no longer wears wigs to cover it up. What an amazing amount of courage it must take to make that decision even though society tells us to cover, or hide anything that is not deemed “beautiful”. Well I think that Terri is GORGEOUS! Even more so for her courage! Here are some of my favorites from her session.
Tammie’s 40/40
Tammie is one of my newest 40/40 portrait sessions. To say she rocked this session would be an understatement. Here are some of my absolute favorites!
The Portrait Masters Awards
I have been entering The Portrait Masters for a few years now. The level of work submitted to this is just nothing short of incredible. I am so happy to announce that I have placed bronze once again on four of my images. My goal is to become and associate photographer, then Master, then Fellow. I thank my amazing clients for trusting me with taking their portraits.
Before and After
I love showcasing my before and after shots. Just seeing what hair and makeup can do for someone to boost their confidence is nothing short of amazing. Here are a few of my favorites~
